RIA Health Check ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and users of our compliance scanning service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Contact information: When you request a compliance scan, we collect your business email address and your firm's website URL.
- Communications: If you contact us via email, we retain the content of your messages and our responses.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Website content: When you request a scan, we crawl publicly accessible pages of the website URL you provide. We only access content that is publicly available to any internet user.
- Public regulatory filings: We access publicly available Form ADV data from the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) database to cross-reference with website content.
- Privacy-friendly analytics: We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic to this site (pageviews, referrer, country, device type). This service does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across other websites. We also record anonymous interaction events (for example, "free scan requested" or "checkout started") so we can improve the service. These events contain no personal data.
